[VLOG] Hair Color with Aveda Natural Hair Products

Image
I can't remember the exact date when I last had my hair colored. Most probably it was sometime in 2016 as I have stopped my annual hair color treatment from the moment I got pregnant with my twins early in 2017 and all the way till I breastfed them. It's so funny because I have tiny white hairs sticking out around my "sideburns" area and when I told my cousin-in-law J that we're finally expecting a baby, he told me this "do me a favor, color your hair so that you'll be a pretty pregnant lady" . I had to explain to him that doing hair color is a no-no especially when you'll be exposing yourself to harmful chemicals that might endanger your baby. He was really serious about his advice that he even sent me a whole package of facial mask. J, this is one reason why I love you! ♥ So anyway, we've heard a lot of things about Aveda hair products and one thing that stood out to me was how it makes use of all organic ingredients. That means, it...

Challenge Accepted : Max's Spicy Fried Chicken

Image
Perhaps, 10 years ago, I'd never , in my wildest dreams, would ever take a challenge like this. I've always shy away from anything with a littlest hint of chili on my food so what was I thinking saying yes to Max's offer to take on the challenge to try the new Spicy Chicken ? Well, living in the Lion City has changed me. It has trained my palette so well that I can now take on spicy food with ease. Chili Padi? Laksa? Chili Crab? Pfft... easy peasy!  Kidding aside, I simply just miss having that spicy kick in my meal once in a while so when I heard about Max's coming out with a spicy version of their award-winning, daydream-inducing Fried Chicken, I was so game! Running up until the 15th of October , you can avail of the Spicy Chicken Platter for only Php.1399. This comes with 8 pcs of Chicken (all leg and thigh portion, mind you!), a generous serving of plain rice, soup of your choice and for dessert, you can have either the Caramel Bar Ice Cream or the Buko Pand...

O Wow Adventures with Oishi's Team O

Image
It's no secret how much I love eating chips! In fact, it has been my favorite thing to snack on and I would definitely go for a bag of chips over a box of chocolates or a scoop of ice cream any day. For the past months, Oishi has been showering me and my family with a lot of yummy (and crunchy) blessings! Who can ever forget the six foot high box that greeted me as I arrived home from my trip to China ? This was the same box that my niece and nephew happily played in after we got all the bags of chips out. They sent not only one but two boxes filled with an assortment of Oishi goodies! A few weeks after that, I got home to see Mr Pea and Mr Porky smiling back at me . Once again, another delightful surprise from the cool folks from Oishi ! As a marketing practitioner, I strongly believe in the power of product sampling. This is one great way to encourage trial and hopefully will result to purchase and loyalty in the future. However, with thousands of products competing for a ...

Hello, ASL? : My Internet Story

Life before 1998, the phrase “Hello, ASL please” meant nothing to me. I didn’t even know that ASL was a conversation starter. Then the Internet took the Philippines by storm, we find every household owning at least one modem connected to their personal computer that’s linked to a phone line. We began with a dial-up connection that had very limited access that we even had to list down our usage to make sure we won’t go beyond the allotted hours. Back then; all we did was to create an email account, surf via Yahoo.com and to log on to mIRC where we met online friends here and abroad. Thus, we learned that ASL actually stands for Age, Sex and Location -- the first three things you ask someone in a chat room. When our dial-up connection would frequently become intermittent, we would buy a handful of prepaid cards from our neighborhood convenient store to make sure that we can still connect to the Internet especially when our homework would call for some research. Little did we know tha...

April is Earth Month

Back when I was still working for the Green Siren, I was tasked to handle the company's Social Responsibility department for a while. It then that I became more aware about caring for our environment, appreciate culture and the arts and became an advocate for early childhood education. Every April 22, we celebrate Earth Day . Various activities has been done during this month such as that amazing clean-up drive that we did in partnership with CCP and a lot more. My sister showed me a link that shows a video of a talented friend who invited his YouTube friends to send in their own video singing/playing to the tune of Discovery Channel's Earth Hour commercial " I Love The Whole World (Boom De Ah Da) " In less than 4 days, he got 4 cool videos to which he stitched them all together to create this wonderful masterpiece! I love the whole world! Way to go! :) video credits: http://www.youtube.com/user/berzelius http://www.youtube.com/user/mrmachadochannel

Are you Crazy for Crocs?

Image
We are officially ten months away from our big day and luckily, I still don't feel the pressure or stress that I have been bracing myself for since we started planning. I guess being connected to technology makes a huge difference. It was so easy for me to email my prospective suppliers, coordinate with my wedding planner, browse through sites after sites to get bridal gown ideas and even visit quite a number of YouTube pages to check out unique and funny wedding program videos. I know as the Big Day nears, I will start to feel the jitters and I look forward to the support and comfort that I will get from my friends online. It's amazing what technology can do, at a recent promo launch, I learned that technology can even make you a STAR! Of course, we've heard of success stories from Charice Pempengco , Arnel Pineda and the funny duo Moymoy Palaboy ... Well, Crocs and Magic 89.9 has partnered-up to launch the Crazy for Crocs promotion! This campaign comes in three parts ...
