Pardon the cute-sy play of words but I just can't help it!  Ever wonder why coffee is normally linked closely to love and romance? Girl meets boy in a coffee shop. Girl and boy getting to know each other over coffee (and cakes, sandwiches or pastries!) Boy professes his love to girl also in a coffee shop. ... and they live happily ever after with more cups of coffee shared along the way! For Paul and I, Starbucks Coffee surely has played a valuable role in our very own love life. Here's where we've spent a lot of hours after our dinner date be it just the two of us or with our groups of friends. Starbucks Coffee has also been our permanent venue when we were meeting up with our wedding suppliers some time back and up to today, it has been our third place -- t hat one place where we feel most at home from the exact type of drinks that we want ( eg : Signature Hot Chocolate in Kid's Temp for him and a Non-Fat Hazelnut Latte , no whip in Kid's Temp for me...

Who would have thought that the day would come when I would be drinking and loving coffee? This is me, the former non-coffee drinker but who still pays a visit to the Green Siren on a daily basis. I had my first dose of coffee during my work orientation two years ago. I remembered it was House Blend , said to be the smoothest and lightest among the wide range of coffee blends available. Nonetheless, it was too bitter for my taste that I loaded it with lots of milk and two packs of sugar. That day marked the start of my love affair with coffee. Since then, I grew fond of the different types of blends and it differs based on the region that it came from. I love anything from the Latin American region: Columbia, Mexico and Peru. I also learned to concoct my own drink from customized lattes to mochaccinos to double shot espressos with a pump of white mocha. Yum! While waiting for my meeting to begin, I got myself a cup of Butterscotch Vanilla Latte at Figaro . It took a while for the bar...

After indulging in all those to-die-for sweet desserts and heart-stopping, cholesterol-loaded dishes during the holiday season, Starbucks Coffee has launched their new line of healthy drinks and food items for us to enjoy (minus the guilt!). I was so excited to check them out that I dropped by my office Starbucks store one day early. The barista, trying her best to suppress her laughter and amusement, just told me to come back the following day. Of course, I did as told and found myself leaving the store with a short warm Green Tea Soy Latte on my hand. mmmmmm...! Tonight, Paul and I tried the Granola Yogurt Cheesecake (Php. 120/slice). This cake reminded me of one dinner that I had with my friends a couple of months ago. After dinner, I treated them to dessert which includes a Granola Cheesecake that some of my colleagues truly love.
