8 Cuts Burger Blends in Greenhills Promenade, San Juan City

Image
"I want mah burgers!!" That's my stomach growling from time to time. While I'm not really a big fan of meat, there are just those moments when I find myself craving for a good piece of burger. Nothing too fancy but one with a thick cut of juicy beef, nice fluffy bun and just the right condiments to go with it. Over the Christmas break, Paul and I went on a double date with my best friend L and her hubby T. It's just amazing to look back and realize that we actually have been double dating for close to 13 years as T and Paul courted both L and I almost at the same time. It's just so nice that L and I are always in sync in every big milestones in our lives. From dating T and Paul respectively to being their girl friends and later on, marrying them and being their wives. As for L, she's now a hot momma to two beautiful kids, one of which is my super smart godson and someday she'll definitely a godmother to mine too. That's one great friendship story...

Deliveroo Singapore : Because You Deserve The Best #BYDTB

Living abroad and away from family has its perks and of course, its disadvantages too. One thing is that with no helper around, we basically have to fend for ourselves 24/7. This means that if Paul and I have to work late, we still have to worry about where to get dinner and this doesn't exempt us from the dish-washing and house-cleaning chores after. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving our independent life but of course, there are moments when I wish I can just have dinner on our table with just a snap of a finger. Take last Friday for instance, I was rushing to finish something for work and has resigned to the fact that I will be heading home late on a Friday night. Then I thought that perhaps Paul will be able to get home before me and he'll take care of dinner. Then I received an SMS from him saying that he will have to stay a bit later too. Oh dear! I'm pretty sure that once he gets home, he'll be so hungry and I don't have the time to cook our meal. B...

Hard Rock Cafe Sentosa celebrated World Burger Month this June 2016!

Image
For us, millenials (yes, kids, I am one of you bwahahah) . We were born in a world where burgers and pizza rule the gastronomic scene for at least the first 15 years of our lives. Growing up, our tastes have changed and became a bit more discriminating..more sophisticated..more choosy. However, let's face it. When it comes to comfort food, these two things will surely top the list. Don't you agree? So, when I received an invite to sample 4 of Hard Rock Cafe Sentosa 's legendary burgers which will be available all throughout June, my mind immediately screamed "hell yeah!" I was definitely so excited to give them a try. I have to admit that it has been years since I've dined at Hard Rock Cafe . I remember when it first opened in Manila sometime in the 90's and we would go there for dinner. It's amazing to see that the brand has expanded to 68 countries with a few more opening soon (get ready Reykjavik in Iceland!) and this includes cafes, hotels and...

Burger Up at Yishun 10 Complex, Singapore

Image
The entire world knows about Singapore 's fast and reliable transport system. Buses and trains arrive right as expected and should there be any breakdowns, announcements will immediately be made. That said, being late is really a non-existent excuse in the Lion City as everything can be well calculated for from point a to b and back. We also know that Singapore is a pretty small country with a land area of a little more than 700 km 2 . So, when Paul and I had to travel for more than an hour by MRT to get to our lunch destination, I guess that's considered to be quite far. On the way there, I was really crossing my fingers (and toes) hoping that the wait and travel was worth it. Finally we got to Yishun 10 Complex for the grand opening of Burger Up . It's a purely Singaporean concept and I tell you, it's not your ordinary fast food / quick service restaurant system where you queue up, give your order and your food will be ready in less than 3 minutes. Let me walk yo...

In Love with Bergs -- Gourmet Burgers, Singapore

Image
"Can't this be love, I'm feeling right now..." ♥ It was just an ordinary late afternoon in Arab street where my colleague J and I were quickly walking around looking for a place to eat. We went there for an event which was about to start in 30 minutes so we weren't picky and just entered this empty non-air-conditioned restaurant thinking we will be able to order, eat, pay and leave. Little did we know that this place was Bergs -- Gourmet Burger , the one that I've been wanting to try for a year now! Now, isn't that called fate or perhaps destiny? The menu was really interesting. There was a good mix of beef burgers, chicken burgers, a veggie (tofu) burger, a burger filled with falafel and even a fish burger. I caught a whiff of the beef patty being grilled in the kitchen so I went for the Berg with Cheese (S$14.50 Bergs size / S$11 small size). My colleague J went for the Porto Pollo  (S$14.50 Bergs size / S$11 small size) which is a Peri-Peri-s...
