Onboard Singapore Airlines :SQ916 / SQ921 / SQ918 (Singapore - Manila - Singapore)

It has been a very happening and truly exciting two months for both Paul and I. Starting with our trip back to Manila to celebrate the holidays with our families then flying back to Singapore 11 days after to go back to work and once again, back to Manila to witness the beautiful wedding of my Achi Marie. Paul and I knew that all these back and forths will take a toll on our body so we made sure to make our flights home as stress-free as possible. I believe that the airline plays a HUGE role on your over-all well-being when travelling. Don't get me wrong, I still fly budget especially for short trips home but I got to admit that I get really excited every single time I fly via Singapore Airlines . Apart from having more luggage allowance, a hot and delicious meal on board, I look forward to the wide entertainment library consisting of the latest movies, TV shows, music and even several radio channels. Time literally flies when you're on Singapore Airlines as you'll fin...

On-board Singapore Airlines SQ 638 (Singapore - Tokyo)

Image
I'm backkkkk!!! I've been very delinquent in blogging lately but I have a good reason why. It's because Paul and I went on a much-awaited trip to Tokyo, Japan with a brief stopover in Manila . We've been planning this trip since last year and despite that, I still had to cram our itinerary a week before we flew off since I had to deal with moving flats sometime in between! Oh dear life.  Anyway, all's good and I'm so happy we made the most of our first-ever visit to Tokyo and believe me, this is definitely the first of many returns! We took the red-eye flight to Tokyo via Singapore Airlines  because Paul has work on Saturdays. Since we're flying out Singapore at 11:55PM, this gave us ample of time to do all our household chores, run last minute errands, do last minute packing, shower and slowly made our way to Changi Airport . We even had time to grab a bite at the lounge too! On-board SQ 638 , the first thing I noticed was that the aircraft seems t...

Onboard Singapore Airlines (Singapore - Manila - Singapore)

Thanks to Singapore Airlines ' big drop in fares, Paul and I were able to snap up a couple of flights this year at such amazing rates. That said, we're levelling up on our travels this 2016 as it's about time to fly in both comfort and style. Alright! Every time I fly via Singapore Airlines to Manila (or anywhere else in the world), I can't help but get so excited! I really look forward to the in-flight entertainment and most of all, the food! As you can see in my past flights, I have always been so happy with the meal be it from the regular selections or the seafood meal that I would sometimes pre-order. I always believe that your vacation should start from the moment you step into the plane where you immediately get the sense of relaxation and comfort. Sadly, that's quite hard to achieve in budget airlines.  As for Singapore Airlines , you get to enjoy the comfort from the moment you check-in at the airport. Look at these Fast Check-In  counters that ...

Onboard Philippines Airlines (Singapore - Manila - Singapore)

Booking a flight home for the holidays is not as easy as it normally is given any ordinary day. For one thing, a clear strategy has to be in place in order to: a) get the cheapest rates b) fly home and back on our desired date and time c) seriously, get the cheapest rates  During our first year here in Singapore, Paul and I wasn't that knowledgeable yet and we sadly forked out a huge amount of money for a plane ticket on a budget airline. I tell you, the stress of having to fight for the smallest overhead cabin and later having the flight attendant beg you to just have your hand-carry luggage on your lap for 3+ hours was terrifying to say the least. Needless to say, we vowed never  to fly budget during the Christmas season ever again. So, on our 2nd year, we planned early and luckily were able to score great tickets via Singapore Airlines . I was really excited for this trip beginning from the plane ride and even for the ride back to Singapore.  Last Christm...

Onboard Singapore Airlines (Singapore - Manila - Singapore)

For someone who grew up getting all antsy and fidgety when traveling, I'd say I've successfully won the battle against air sickness with all these regular trips that I have been taking through the years. In fact, there are even some flights that have gotten me really excited starting from the moment I step into the plane. That's one of the best things about traveling right? Being able to enjoy the flight towards your destination. During my recent flight back home, Paul and I decided to fly Singapore Airlines. We have been flying budget the entire year so we thought that we might as well treat ourselves with a little comfort this holiday season. Was it worth it? Yes, Yes and YES! Check out the meals that we had during the flights to Manila and back to Singapore: SQ 912 : Singapore to Manila I wanted to try something different during this leg so I specifically requested for an All-Seafood Meal . Yes, Singapore Airlines allows you to specify any dietary restrictions ...

Onboard Singapore Airlines (Singapore - Hong Kong - Singapore)

Image
As the saying goes: "When it rains, it pours!" The week that went by was quite hectic but it is truly one that I'll never forget. After all, how often will I ever have the opportunity to travel to 2 different countries in the span of a week? That's right! Right before I flew off to Cambodia for that much-awaited trip with the Normanton Kids (NKids), I suddenly had to fly to Hong Kong for an important business meeting and since it was a last minute thing, I only had 24 hours to spend in one of my favorite cities in the world. *sigh* Well, 24 hours is better than nothing, right? I have to admit though that despite having to go to Hong Kong for work, I was really excited about this impromptu trip. For one thing, I flew via Singapore Airlines which means 4 hours of non-stop in-flight entertainment and a yummy meal! 1st Leg: Singapore to Hong Kong From the moment I got to my seat which was at the 2nd row of the Economy Class section, I was greeted with my favor...
