Farmer's Table in Nurture Wellness Village, Tagaytay

Image
Whenever I think of visiting Tagaytay , this place immediately equates to relaxation, comfort and good food. I guess, my parents feel the same way that's why we have been frequenting Tagaytay so much since I was in high school and every long breaks would be spent here. A lot of changes have took place since those days as Tagaytay is now filled with rows after rows of establishments thus giving every visitor endless options on where to stay to where to eat. Unlike before where we would quickly pack our bags and head up to Tagaytay during a long break, this time, we would try to avoid heading there on a holiday unless we plan to spend most of our time on the road.  However, this has never stopped us from having Tagaytay as one of our top destinations whenever we just want a quick and relaxing family break. During one of our weekend trips in Tagaytay, we decided to check out Farmer's Table  which is part of the Raintree Group of Restaurants . Others may not know this nor would t...

Jones All Day at Serendra, Bonifacio Global City

Image
With restrictions easing up and cases staying steadily low, we're starting to gain more confidence to go out and relive our lives once again. So what was my life before the pandemic? It was a mix of work during the weekdays, giving my undivided attention to my kids and family during the weekends and meeting up with friends somewhere in between. We sure have spent a lot of time dining out and that's one of the things that I missed the most for the past two years. Luckily, we were able to discover a number of home businesses that quickly became our favorites and we have also rekindled our love for cooking too.  As soon as our government lowered the restrictions, Paul and I met up with his cousin and later with some of my high school friends at Jones All Day . This is one of the newest restaurants by the Raintree Hospitality Group  and if you're wondering how come the name sounds so familiar, they're the management team behind some of the biggest names in the F&B indus...

Citibank Surprise Squad strikes at Stella, Bonifacio Highstreet Central

Image
Introducing Project Surprise. I admit, I was the accomplice. The goal was to bring happiness through the form of a surprise visit. The target? My fellow food blogger friends. I must admit I'm not good at planning surprises. More often than not, my excitement will reveal what I have been cooking up in my mind. Thus, it took me a while to invite The Food Club out for what looked like a simple dinner at Stella . After all, we, members of The Food Club do not say no to the chance of trying a new restaurant out. Paul and I got to Stella ahead of the others. After a quick hi-hello with the "mastermind", we entered the restaurant with innocent looks on our faces as we waited for the others to arrive. Stella is one of the many new restaurants that opened at the booming new wing of Bonifacio Highstreet . It's right beside its sister restaurant bar called Rocket Room , Stella has a cozy vibe quite similar to another sister restaurant -- Chelsea Market and Cafe . W...

All Girls Nightout at Chelsea

Image
A perfect way to unwind after a crazy week at work is with the company of great friends and with lots of food! We have been awaiting the opening the Chelsea Market and Cafe at the Podium Mall for months! Finally, my friend K who has been monitoring the status of their store opening texted B and I that they're finally opening on April 30, Friday and invited us to have dinner there. Of course, we said yes . Despite the rain and the bad traffic all around the metro, the three of us met up and enjoyed a delicious dinner with me introducing a couple of my well-loved Chelsea dishes and trying out a couple of new ones too. K was the first to arrive and while waiting for us, she ordered the Risotto Balls (Php. 295) which we all agreed was a great choice. I love the cheezy risotto filling that's packed inside a crunchy deep-fried shell. This comes with cheezy Jalapeño sauce which you have to dip your Risotto Balls into before taking a bite. I also enjoyed the tiny deep-fried oli...

Dear Mr. Jones

Image
I'm pretty sure I will be dreaming of a plate filled with US Beef Tapa with Garlic Rice tonight...and it all because of Mr. Jones It was our traditional birthday lunch treat with Yummy team and as I mentioned it before, the group surely has the nose and the right taste for good food! Lunch was at Mr. Jones . Since it was my first time to visit this and it has been part of my restaurants-to-visit list for quite a while now, I was really so excited to try that much-talked about Beef Tapa, the Truffled Mac and Cheese and a lot more! My excitement grew as the team began talking about what they will be ordering for lunch and looks like majority was really eyeing on the Tapa. We were told that the place can easily be filled up in minutes so for extra safety measures, Liz made reservations to secure us a table. Mr. Jones' ambiance is like a modern American diner complete with a mini jukebox by the corner, servers in crisp white with red stripes tops and a menu that will make you go W...
