Moshi Moshi in Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City

Image
Moshi Moshi Anone, Anone, Anone! A few weeks ago, Paul and I joined The Food Club in yet another foodie get-together, this time at Moshi Moshi in Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City . The restaurant is located right across the Ateneo de Manila University so expect to see a lot of students dining and hanging out in almost all food establishments and coffee shops within the Katipunan strip. Paul and I are not Blue Eagles but since my sister graduated from ADMU school, we used to frequent this place whenever we would wait for her class to end. A lot of restaurants have opened since then. Though, I'm glad that a lot of our favorite s are still around. I really think we should go back and visit them again. Moshi Moshi is located at the 2nd level of the Regis Center , a new building that houses a big Gold's Gym, Bonchon Chicken , Saint's Alp Coffee Shop and a lot more. Basement parking is available but quite limited. It was a good thing that Paul and I were able to get a goo...

Satur-dating at Sumo Sam, Greenhills Town Center

Image
While Paul and I love going out with our friends and family; once in a while, we make time to just spend a quiet evening enjoying each other's company. One Saturday night, we decided to have dinner out at the newly opened Greenhills Town Center located along Granada which is adjacent to Gilmore and Ortigas Avenue. We've been looking forward to checking this place out as it's located so close to home. Another place to consider when dining out most especially when we want to avoid the Greenhills Shopping Center traffic. Greenhills Town Center is a small commercial complex that houses a number of food establishments like McDonald's, Ha Yuan , Seattle's Best Coffee, Red Buffalo and our dinner choice for that evening -- Sumo Sam . There are quite a number of new food shops that I will make sure to visit in the coming months. Sumo Sam is located right at the entrance of Greenhills Town Center making it very easy to locate. Note though that parking is quite limi...

Christmas Date at Seryna in Little Tokyo, Makati

Image
One thing that Paul and I love about Christmas and about being married is that ever since we tied the knot, we finally can celebrate the holiday season together! You see, for the past 7 years when we were dating, Christmas for Paul means driving to his hometown in Pampanga to celebrate the holidays with his extended family. Whereas for me, I spend Christmas Eve with my mom's side and Christmas Day at home with my immediate family of 4. Not wanting to join the holiday rush and to just waste precious time in traffic, we decided to postpone our annual Holi-date to the day after Christmas where almost everyone is back at work and the roads are free of cars and the malls not that filled with frantic shoppers. So there we were at 11AM right in front of Seryna Japanese Restaurant , our Holi-date venue for the year. What we failed to take note was that the restaurant opens at 11:30 which means we have to wait for half an hour more before we can finally have lunch. Drat! I'm star...

Omakase again and again

Image
I remember days before the wedding, I found myself majorly craving for Omakase . Oh how my mouth waters at the thought of its creamy Uni Sashimi and crunchy Seafood Dumplings. Since our schedule has been hectic and we left the country shortly after our BIG day, it took me a while to be reunited with my favorite Japanese dishes. When my good friend A invited me out to dinner to catch up and plan for her upcoming wedding, I suggested that we go to Omakase as nothing beats bonding with your friend over good food. We were both hungry that evening that we ordered a feast! I began with my favorite Uni Sashimi , which I requested that they served extra chilled as recommended by my sister -- a fellow Uni lover. Since A does not eat raw food, she allowed me to indulge and enjoy the plate the Uni all by myself. I love you A! :) As usual, Omakase's Uni is one of the best that I've tasted so far, it's so creamy and it does not have a slimey texture that can become pretty overwh...
