Snack Time: Chizu Cheese Cupcakes

Image
Here' some good news for all cheese lovers out there. Check out what I recently discovered during my last visit to Manila -- Chizu Cheese Cupcakes! I remember growing up and enjoying homemade cheese cupcakes which is slightly crunchy on top and super soft and moist inside. I just love nibbling on the toasted grated cheese normally spinkled and baked on top. These sells like hotcakes so we normally would get a freshly baked batch every time. Chizu is the modern-age cheese cupcakes which stays super creamy inside and out. These comes in two sizes: Chizu Regulars (Php. 350/12 pieces) are the same size that of a regular cupcake while the Chizu Bites (Php. 150/12 pieces) are so cute and tiny that you can easily pop into your mouth. Be careful though as these babies can get so addicting that before you know it, you've consumed the entire box already! That almost happened to me had it not been for Paul who told me to save some for him too. I wasn't able to ask how many...

Discovery Country Suites, Tagaytay City

It was indeed a Sweet November for me and Paul last month. Despite being extra busy and stressful all month-long, we both looked forward to every single weekend as we had a staycation or a mini vacation planned one week after the other. Our Sweet November began with an overnight stay at the Marriott Hotel back-to-back with a delicious steak dinner at Cru . The next weekend followed with a fun pasta making class for me at Global Academy and another overnight stay in Alabang. After my quick trip to Cebu for work, Paul and I ended the month with a 3 day break in one of our favorite out of town destinations -- Tagaytay City . Others may find Tagaytay City boring but not me. I grew up going to Tagaytay so often and yet every vacation leaves me rejuvenated, happy and relaxed after. It helps that Tagaytay is so close to Manila that I don't get bored on the road going there and coming back home. That's a big plus as I really do not like long road trips. There are a lot of res...

My Purple Nails meets Purple Oven

Image
For the past week, my nails have been sporting a new color. PURPLE! No, I'm not attending neither Barney nor Grimace's birthday party. It just came to a point wherein I wanted to deviate from my usual baby pink nail color which I've been sporting every so often for the past decade. CHANGE is good, after all. I've been so happy showing off my deep purple nails most especially as it has a good smooth and shiny finish. Good job Nail Tropics! ♥ A few days ago, my college best friend L celebrated her birthday and Paul and I dropped by our favorite bakeshop to buy her a box of Chocolate Revel Bars before heading to our dinner venue. I first heard about Purple Oven more than 5 years ago when I began obsessing over Starbucks Coffee's  Banoffee Pie . A friend pointed this place out to me and I've been a regular customer ever since. It's also a plus that it's located so close to where I work making it so convenient anytime I have to drop by to buy a cak...
