I've been a blogger for almost ten years already. While this blog was just created four years ago, I have been busy documenting my everyday college life in my first ever personal blog which unfortunately has been kept hidden to the public eye since Frannywanny.com was born. For ten years now, blogging has been my best stress reliever. I enjoy jotting down my thoughts and sharing my experiences to the world. Aside from writing and maintaining my blog, I also enjoy visiting sites of fellow bloggers most especially that of food bloggers . The links you see in my sidebar are some of my favorite blogs which I frequent on a daily basis. Yes, like you I get excited whenever I learn about a new restaurant discovery or a new grocery item that I would also like to try. I'm thankful that majority of the owners of these blogs that I follow have eventually became really good friends of mine. I always look forward to dining out with them as we get to experience a new restaurant together...

Just Dial : City Delivery!

Image
It was one lazy Sunday and with our trusty househelp out on a day off, I told Mom to just relax, not cook lunch and I'll take care of it. She smiled and thought that I would probably take charge in the kitchen... well, that was not really what I had in mind . The trust is, I've been wanting to try the latest delivery service in the metro by City Delivery . Since their launch last year, I've been hearing raves from colleagues who have tried their service as they had to stay till late at the office. Imagine veering away from fast food and enjoying your favorite restaurant dishes delivered straight to your doorstep (or in our case, our office lobby). Finally, I got hold of a City Delivery menu which made it easier for us to plan our menu. I found out that I can only order from restaurants within my cluster (Greenhills/Ortigas/San Juan/Mandaluyong/Pasig). Luckily, the list is quite long for this cluster and it took me some time to decide from which restaurant I'd like ...

Chicken chicken at Peri Peri Chicken!

Image
While planning for our trip to Kuala Lumpur months ago, I got a comment for a reader to try Nando's Peri Peri Chicken . Unfortunately, due to time constraint, we were not able to go with the recommendation but this got me craving for peri-peri chicken the moment we got back from our honeymoon trip. Thanks to our ever supportive friends, we scheduled a dinner at Peri-Peri Grillhouse at the Greenhills Promenade one Sunday evening. We arrived a little past 7 and the place was already packed. I love the cheerful greeting that you'd get the moment you walk into the restaurant. Who doesn't love chicken? While people would have a wide range of food restrictions due to religion, dietary requirement or allergies, rarely have I encountered anyone who is not allowed to eat chicken. Thus, this has been a common choice when dining out in groups. Peri-peri Grillhouse has been around for a while already and they have even undergone one major renovation thus the big change in their...

Elbert sure knows good Steak!

Image
Not so long ago, I blogged about tasting good beef after quite a while . This prompted a warm welcome from the beef-loving community who happily accepted my return. Just like a prodigal daughter, I didn't let the community down. To wish two of my dearest friends a very temporary bon voyage, we scheduled an evening to dine in one of the best steak restaurants in the metro as confirmed by the Miele Guide . Elbert's Steak Room is one of Makati's secret food treasures that is slowly being known to food enthusiasts all over town. Every review and feedback given speaks only of one thing: GOOD STEAK . This really excites me despite the fact that they have quite an expensive menu. The night of our dinner at Elbert's finally arrived. Finding the restaurant can be a bit tricky. First, you have to locate the building (Sagittarius Building III is located right in front of a Mini Stop along H.V. dela Costa in Salcedo Village). After getting a good parking slot, just ask the frien...
