BlackBerry Barkada : Staying Connected 24/7

Image
*SPONSORED POST* I just came home from a fun evening spent with my barkada. I’ve known these girls for more than 15 years at the very least. In fact, T and I have been friends since we were in kindergarten! That’s how long we’ve known each other and it’s truly amazing to see how our bond continues to grow and strengthen through the years. In fact, they’re like family to me. Thus, it was definitely a no-brainer that I immediately chose all three of them to be part of my bridal entourage when Paul and I tied the knot two years ago. This is because I simply wanted them to play a meaningful role in such a momentous occasion in my life. 3 of the 4 Musketeers : Best Friends for LIFE After high school, we each went to different universities and later on took different but quite similar career paths. Despite our hectic schedules, its amazing that we continue to stay connected thanks to the power of the internet and mobile communications . Just recently, when Typhoon Sandy hit New Jersey...

Tech Review : iPhone Wallet Case and Boost Case (Demo Slideshow)

Image
A week ago, I made the quickest and one of the biggest purchase this year -- I bought myself a new phone and it's not just any phone in the market but one that I have been considering to have for months! I bought myself an iPhone 4S ! I wouldn't consider it an impulse buy but rather, I just know a good deal when I see one. Negotiations were done in less than 20 minutes and shortly after, this pretty looking box was already placed safely inside my bag as we drove home. Some friends were wondering why I didn't wait for the new iPhone 5 to come out as this was released to the public just a few days ago. Well, I am the type who would rather wait for the reviews to come in and when a product deems to be worthy of my hard-earned money then I buy it than to give in impulse and trend pressure then to regret it later. It has been a week since and I've so happy with the functionality of my new phone. The sleek performance as I do my calls, send text messages, snap up photo...

Tech Review : Samsung Galaxy Tab 2

I must admit I can't live without the internet . Ever since I was introduced to it back in the late 90s, logging into the internet has been part of my daily routine. Papa would wonder why do I have to check my email every single day given that I was just a student back then. Before, being connected to the internet was pretty much limited to you having to be physically present in front of your computer. Today, one can be connected 24/7. How? Through the wonderful creations of smart phones and tablets of course! :) My day job entails doing a number of presentations to clients. More often than not, I have to bring my laptop with me as all my files as stored in there and there is also no way I would want my presentation to be ruined with incompatible fonts as the file gets transferred around with a USB stick. I'd rather kill my shoulders and carry my laptop around than to have a mediocre looking presentation, agree? My colleague L was smarter though. All she had was her handy t...

Tweet Tweet Twitter!!

For years I have been very active in Plurk even putting my account on "vacation" when I go out of the country just so my karma won't drastically go down. There, I've gotten to know new friends and have strengthened my friendships with some. During my recent trip to the US, I realized that people there are crazy about Twitter. With their advance technology via mobile people are busy checking their Facebook accounts, checking in on Foursquare and Twitting every chance they get. Almost all of the people that I've met has either a smart phone or an iPhone and they're all on data plan. Amazing huh?! How I wish we can be as technologically-savvy here. I know eventually we'll get there. Well, here's a start.. while I am not abandoning my Plurk account but I am joining the crowd as I enter the world of Twitter. It has been less than 24 hours since I've revived my dormant account and I've connected with fellow bloggers and friends. It's a fun ...

The APPLE of my eye

Image
Call it impulse buy ..it's actually the best type of purchase ever done when you just instantly fall deeply in love with a particular item the moment you lay your eyes on it. It's the new age way of love at first sight . Thanks to my dear husband who gives in to my occasional impulsive shopping behavior and who sits through my lengthy speeches of justifying "why I needed that particular object of desire"..and mind you, I will not stop still he says YES. I am indeed a lucky girl. Today was a happy day as I came home and was greeted with a small rectangular plastic case that contains my newest baby! It's my new 32GB iPod Touch and it's finally home!! This will be my newest travel buddy as it will not only save me from boredom but will be our guide as we navigate our way around town. Truly, the APPLE of my eye ♥

a LAPTOP . Simply because I am soon moving on to a new phase in my life... which includes moving out from my family's home *sniffle* for a short while and leaving my precious PC behind... I am looking for a handy-dandy laptop that doesn't really have to be super techie (yes, I am no gamer / graphic artist / etc). I simply want something that is fast, easy to use and one that I can bring with me wherever I go. This would then means being able to blog whenever and wherever inspiration strikes. Please send in your suggestions guys! :) photo credit: http://yourmembership.wordpress.com/

Modu™ Phone: the world's lightest phone

I guess I was lucky...to be born right on the decade where technology was starting to take the mainstream. I guess I was truly lucky...to be spoiled by my dad who would easily give in to my wants despite my mom's undying attempt to teach me to just stick to the things that I need . That was my life as a teenager. I admit I have fallen victim to a number of technology trends that has, at some point, became the center of very teenager's attention. From beepers to analog phones to the coolest Nokia 5110 and to the endless changing of styles and models. I have repeatedly pleaded for my parents to get me the newest product in the market just so I can keep up with the trend. Yes, shamefully, trends and technology has brought out the whining brat in me. Luckily, this phase ended pretty quickly. It was when I have learned to stay loyal to just one model for years and would just consider replacing this when it's already on its death bed . I guess, eventually, we would find that o...
